30th of January… 2007 I was born in SL and now we have 2012… 5 years in SL, that’s a long time. I usually tend to forget that date as I did today. I realized it as the clock on my computer turned to 1AM and the date switched*grins* So, today.. or better yesterday, I spent my SL day with styling and making pictures… like mostly*lol* I had an argument lately with a few ppl about corsets. Some wanted to tell me corsets are fetish, others told me they are porn and some said corsets are lingerie only. But I disagreed and still do. Corsets came from way in the past before we had all those fancy leather and latex stuff and they were part of awesome medieval gowns for example.

So I took myself to a challenge that I can wear corsets without any touch of all that prejudices and create a modern non avantgarde look. Ok I admit… it turned out in some postapocalyptic again lightly but that might be because of my favour for this kinda pictures *smiles* Maybe if you just put the whole outfit in a different scenery it looks different again, but the big hoodie on the “Anath” jacket of Miamai. The rats that are placed over the shoulder just underlined the feeling of the day after a worldwide catastrophe where you just wake up and try to survive, maybe try to find other people and some food. The white corset comes from NV Corsetry. I discovered this store over 2 of my sissies, Lexie and Lorelei. The introduced me to Khurt Vhargon, owner and designer of NV Corsetry. He makes a very new kind of corsets, fully scripted to resize them in every direction. You can choose if you only wanna make it longer or wider and not just resize the full object… really an innovation for corsets in SL. As well he created so many different styles and different fabrics that you really get in trouble if you visit his store as you have a hard time to choose. The newest addition to that corsets is, that now he can help you fit the corset as well if you cannot do it on your own with a remote control of the script. That means he can operate the script while you are wearing his corsets. I only saw this technique at BAX before for the boots and it will be really helpful, if you are not yet that experienced in SL with fittings and scripts and still wanna wear one of his amazing corsets

For the pants I chose one of my all time favourites from LeeZu, the “Madison” pants. The earrings and bracelets come from Finesmith and the face tattoo from White Widow, as well favourite stores of mine The skin is made by Malicia Python, owner and designer of Silken Moon. She made me this special makeup for the “Rookie” skin, called “Childhater” as I wanted black lips and dark smokey eyes. One example for the great custom makeups you can get from Silken Moon As I had to walk through water for that post :p the water swallowed the cool “Pomski” boots from Kookie…

I hope I could prove my opinion, that corsets are not only porn, fetish, lingerie or avantgarde… they can be so much more and as well a part of everyday looks if you combine them with jeans and a casual blouse . *makes a note to herself for a new look*

And so I will bring the box I found, in the water at the beginning of my post,  back home and see what I got…

The newest release from Prism is a beautiful little cocktail dress named “Angeleena”. With all the amazing colors Journey McLaglen made for that dress we got a funny idea. Why not try kinda german flag with 3 german girls wearing the new outfit…? Above you can see the result. Me in black, Oralee in red and Falbala in shiny gold… and ready was the german flag in black – red – gold with our Miss Virtual Germany 2012 on the right outside Thank you Oralee and Falbala for styling and posing with me

As you already can see on the first picture, there is many different way to mix and match the new “Angeleena” dress. This is something I adore Journey for. She designs outfits and you first of all can mix and match them with every other Prism outfit and as well with some totally different. So you can give one outfit a lot of different looks. For example the “Angeleena” dress… First as I got it on the closest idea would be just keep it like it is and add some shoes, hair and jewelry and wear it as what it is on the first hand… a sweet, beautiful cocktail dress, as for example Falbala did it for the golden version of the dress. For me it said something totally different as I put the black version on and with adding one piece after the other it developed a totally other style…

The more I added the more the cocktail dress turned into a rockabilly chick With the fishnet tights and the tattoos “Angeleena” still is the same dress with a totally different look.

As I started the ‘What can I do with “Angeleena”?’ I could not stop anymore and try on what else I can come up with :p

My next style is more of a casual, light urban style still with the “Angeleena” cocktail dress. The dress includes 2 versions for the jacket layer, one with and one without the shoulder lines. I just added one of my LeeZu jeans, chucks and one of my favourite hairstyles from LoQ to complete the casual look. The sweet choker with the flower in the front is part of “Angeleena” itself.

In the end I decided, I could just once wear the outfit as that what it was meant for. In the end it again turned into something different… but I guess it comes close . Still the look is not that elegant, than Falbala did it, it more turned into an everyday cute and sweet girlie style. The hairstyle from Truth, with the huge flower underlined the cutness for me

For the ones of you that follow my posts know that I get in my shape shifting mood from time to time. After my recent blog from P.i.X.X.i.S Navy Outfit I talked a bit to the owners Riana Silvercloud & Debbie Dotterkelch. I had a look around their nice store and I´ve seen some amazing outfits for a really affordable price. Some outfits really caught my attention, and I had to grab them. So back home I really came into my shape shifting mood, unpacked my little boxes and started dressing up.

<3 Nerds is the outfit I am wearing on this post, the outfit comes with the sneakers, stockings, jeans hotpants, shirt, bracelet and scarf. The shadows on the textures of the clothing layers are really realistic and well made. Taking a closer look at the prim parts made me realize all the little details on the scarf, little buttons on the scarf add a very playful touch to this outfit. A pencil for your mouth and the nerd looking glasses are also included.

Lately Inga Wind Clothing started to sell new mesh designs. The combination of Inga’s high quality textures and awesome mesh prims really grabbed my attention. A few days ago I unpacked another one of Inga’s great new releases and immediately I had a funny scenery in mind… The “Patsy” outfit comes as a full ready to wear outfit with shoes. And the cute look of this outfit made me think about the sweet idea I had in mind. I asked Oralee if she could build a little set, about a funny painting scenery, like 2 girls try to have fun on a boring grey winter Sunday afternoon and decide to repaint they apartment. She was fast with her building and I again added some accessories to make the scene even more funny. In the end Oralee found some of those cool paper hats and paint tattoos on SL Marketplace and the scene was perfect.
